If I asked you to tell me about what you do in one sentence, one paragraph or in five minutes could you do it? People are time-poor. You must get across what you do and how you help people in as succinct a way as possible. At the end of this blog, you will know exactly what you need to include to write the perfect introduction post? You’ll be able to use it in your content, in your social media, on your website, when you speak. In fact just about everywhere you need to tell people about yourself.
Let’s get started. Before we get onto creation start by visualising your ideal client when you’re creating this. Have one person mind and your introduction needs to come across and always ensure that you are talking directly to them and use ‘you’.
Who are you?
People buy from people so tell them a little about you. What’s your role and experience? Share a little personal information too. As much or as little as you’re comfortable with.
What do you offer or do?
Next create a couple of sentences explaining what you do. Do you have a specific sector that you focus on? Be clear and don’t use loads of acronyms.
What problem are you solving?
You need to think about the main challenge or problem that you’re solving. Something that you know will resonate with your audience. Be specific and don’t ramble. You need it to be really clear so that they get it quickly!
How are you different?
Think about your current clients. Why do they buy from you? What do you do differently? If you’re not sure ask them. Your aim is to make your post engaging so do the groundwork before starting.
Ask an open-ended question
Try and be more visionary with this. Where do they want to be? What transformation do they want? Create something that they can visualise. The question could start with What if….
Call to action
Finally, how do they take action? What do they need to next? Do you want them to call you, email you or do you have a free download that you can share? Make it simple for them to take action.
You should aim to have around two sentences for each section. Get creative how about create a video or use emojis? Always include a strong image of yourself and if you have a team include them too. Try to show what you do in your image or share your personality. Your audience wants to know more about you. This is personal so make it so.
