It’s funny if you asked me back in 1990 when I first started in PR whether I thought I would end up being in technology in 2020 I would have said not a chance. I was a young and eager account executive working at a London agency which had both consumer and technology clients, so I did a bit of both.

Consumer was all about glamourous ‘Ab fab’ launches at top London venues, celebrity appearances and glossy magazines.

Technology was feature-heavy product launches, product reviews and press meetings with very techie journalists! You can imagine which one I preferred!

Fast forward a few years by which time I had grown up a little.  I realised that consumer didn’t really change much, and technology was fast-moving and far more exciting.

And that’s why I’m still here, well and truly ensconced in this sector because I love it and the fact that every day there is something new.  It could be a new ransomware attack or a new technology that’s helping communities in a far-flung location.

The opportunity to tell stories in technology is vast and that’s what makes it exciting because you never know what’s new and on the horizon. That’s why I’m still here and loving it.
